The Slash World Tour Australasia leg has just started. Slash and his band performed at the Asia World Expo in Hong Kong. Notice that this gig was the first one with Tony Montana on bass. He replaces Todd Kerns who had to leave the tour for some medical reasons.

Tony Montana will replace Todd Kerns
Slash announced on Twitter that Tony Montana will replace Todd Kerns on bass for the World Tour Australasia leg. Tony Montana is known for being member of the american band Great White from 1987 to 1992.
Todd Kerns had to leave the band at the end of the European leg for some medical reasons. He is now recovering from eye surgery.

This was the last of a 32 shows series in Europe. The band came back to Los Angeles for a two weeks break and then will start the Australasia leg with a show in Hong Kong.

Todd Kerns, who play bass in the band, had to go back in the U.S.A. for medical reasons. So for this show in Moscow, Brent Fitz, usually drummer, played bass and drum tech John Douglas played drums.

After over 12,000 entries, Slash and Guitar Center have hand picked the winner of the Your Next Record with Slash contest : State Line Empire from San Mateo, California. The band will record a 3-song EP with legendary producer, Mike Clink (Guns N’ Roses, Motley Crue, Megadeth) and have Slash write, record and perform on their single.

Slash @ Ruisrock Festival, Turku 11/7/2010
For this first and unique gig in Finland, Michael Monroe from Hanoi Rocks went on stage with the band to perfom "We're All Gonna Die" (Slash) and "Up Around The Bend" (Creedence Clearwater Revival) with the band.
In the past, Slash and Michael Monroe have shared the same stage sereval times and have also recorded three studio tracks together : "Bad Obsession" (Use Your Illusion, 1991), "Ain't It Fun" (The Spaghetti Incident?, 1993) and "Magic Carpet Ride" (Coneheads soundtrack, 1993).

An iPhone app titled Slash's Arcade Rocker is now available. It is a Guitar Hero like game which featuring three songs from the new album ("By The Sword", "Watch This" and "Doctor Alibi"). The application also includes news, tourdates and even blog posts from Slash's team.
